Refund Policy
We know plans can change! Here’s how our refunds work so you know exactly what to expect.
Backpacking Trips and Courses
When you book a trip, you’ll pay a 35% deposit to hold your spot.
- If you cancel 90 days or more before your trip starts, your deposit will be refunded.
- If you cancel less than 90 days before your trip, the deposit is non-refundable.
- The rest of your payment (called the balance) is due 60 days before the trip.
- If you cancel 45 days or more before the trip, we’ll refund your balance.
- If you cancel less than 45 days before the trip, the balance and the deposit is non-refundable.
- Trips booked less than 45 days before the start date are non-refundable.
If you miss these deadlines, you still have options. You can transfer your spot to someone else up to 5 days before the trip, as long as it’s approved by WildBridge ahead of time.
If we can fill your spot from a waitlist, we’ll do our best to get you a full refund (minus a $75 fee).
If you miss the group’s departure, we’ll do our best to help you reconnect with us but we’re not able to offer a refund if you end up not coming on the trip.
Weather & Safety
Sometimes, we may need to change or cancel a trip due to bad weather or something else that may impact your safety. If that happens, you can:
- Move your entire payment to another trip with open spaces, or
- Get your balance refunded (the deposit is non-refundable).
We highly recommend carrying Trip Interruption and Cancellation Insurance to help cover costs in case you need to cancel or leave a trip early. WildBridge Tours is not responsible for costs related to evacuations or leaving a trip for any other reason.
